Craig Minor is a designer, former educator and principal of Minor Design. He received his BFA from Western Michigan University, an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and has studied in Switzerland. Among his accomplishments are design programs for the Children’s Museum of Houston; Seiyo Corporation, Kobe, Japan; and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. In addition projects have been designed for ESPN, American Movie Classics and signage and wayfinding programs developed for Vinson & Elkins, Houston; Houston Parks Board and the Houston Parks Department. Mr. Minor served as Area Chairman of the Graphic Communications Program at the University of Houston from 1984 to 2000. Mr. Minor's work has been recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the American Institute of Architects, the American Center for Design, the New York Art Directors. His work has been published in numerous books and publications including, Design Issues; Design+, Japan; Print Magazine and the AIGA/Texas Journal. Mr. Minor is the past president of the Texas Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and currently serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas and the Rice Design Alliance.
