Hermann Park, one of Houston’s oldest and most historically significant urban green spaces, is a destination for 5.5 million visitors each year. It is a cultural and recreational resource, a civic space, and a respite for urban dwellers. The Friends of Hermann Park have undertaken numerous projects to improve the park. Minor Design Group contributed to these improvements through the design of a new identity system featured on signage throughout the park, print and web material. Minor Design has maintained the system through their design of maps and information guides, five annual reports, event collateral, fundraising material, fun-runs and a distinctive signage system to grace the rejuvenated landscape and special park features.
